Welcome Message

Toru Hasegawa, MD, PhD

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure and honor to welcome you to the 13th Annual Meeting of The Pacific and Asian Society of the Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (PASMISS), scheduled to be held on August 1st-3rd, 2013, at the Seagaia Convention Center, Miyazaki, Japan. The Program Committee has created a very interesting scientific program of high quality with oral presentations, invited papers and general posters. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the scientific program. The congress also comprises various events which we hope you will find enjoyable.

As always, interaction will be the key focus of the several topics this year. The former will address minimally invasive spinal decompression, fixation, deformity, trauma, and special topics on the aging spine in a format enabling active participation based on case presentations and discussions. Evidence-based practice information and take-home messages will provide an ideal opportunity for participants to incorporate new concepts into their daily practice for the benefit of their patients.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the congress exhibitors and sponsors for their valuable contributions to make the meeting a high-quality scientific and educational event. Please make sure to visit the exhibition area during the congress.

On behalf of the PASMISS members in Japan, we wish you all a warm welcome to Miyazaki and hope that you will enjoy the congress.

With Regards,

Toru Hasegawa, MD, PhD
