Welcome Message

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure and honor to extend this invitation to take part in the coming 9th Pacific Asian Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (PASMISS), to be held in Japan from August 6 to 8, 2009.

In recent few years, the Pacific Asia region had great progress in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery. The Organizing Committee plans to offer the latest scientific and social programs and share our experiences with you. Sessions will cover various categories of the new issues of this field. The topics in the conference include endoscopic assisted surgery, fusion method with mini-open technique, and augmentation of osteoporotic fractures including kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty. Novel concepts in the management of lumbar spinal stenosis will be discussed as well. I am sure that the conference will give you the best opportunity of exchanging and sharing ideas and knowledge of the most innovative developments and the useful information in these fields.

Kansai Airport Conference Halls, where we will hold the meeting, is a facility of Hotel Nikko Kansai Airport. It is located in a very short walk from both passenger terminal and train station. With its seafront setting and harmonious design, it provides the ambience of a resort-yet with direct access to Osaka and the entire Kansai region including Universal Studio Japan, World Heritage Koya-san and Kyoto etc. You and your family do come here and enjoy shopping, sightseeing and playing.

Your active participation is extremely important to achieve a successful meeting. I am looking forward to seeing you in the PASMISS 2009 in Japan.
